We decided to go out to dinner last night after running a few errands. At fifteen months, Sophia is already becoming a great fan of restaurants like her mama. In my opinion, any food I don’t have to cook myself (or do dishes after my husband cooks) is good to me after a long day at work.
We were just finishing up dinner when Sophia became fascinated with the man sitting at the table next to ours. She kept turning to him and smiling and eventually looking at me and saying a word and pointing back at the man with a smile. Finally, I figured out that she kept saying the same word over and over again and I thought I knew what it was but it was too loud in the restaurant for me to hear her clearly so I leaned in and asked, “Sophie – who is that?” referring to the man.
She looked at me and clearly replied, “Santa.”
That is exactly what I had thought I had been hearing her say. This gave me a huge case of the giggles and I was dying to tell the gentleman what she had said but in the end didn’t because you never know how someone is going to take being compared to the jolly old fellow. The guy did not have a beard but he had a white mustache, balding hair that was also white but he was quite large and wearing a red polo shirt. An innocent yet hysterical case of mistaken identity that was totally blog worthy in my opinion.
That’s funny!
ROFLMAO – OMG, that’s AWESOME!!
It totally makes sense that Santa would chill in Florida when he’s on vacation.
